Three Years From Now: Where This All Goes

People ask me what I'm building. I tell them and they nod politely because the answer doesn't fit on a sticker.

So let me try a different format. Let me describe what this all looks like three years from now, in detail, so the shape is clear.

2029. Spring.

The website you're reading this on has been live for several years. It is not a small project anymore. It is a hub with multiple sections, a deep blog archive, a music catalog, a store, a member area, a content library, a press section, and a few more spokes I haven't built yet.

Every piece of it is owned. Domain owned. Database owned. Catalog owned. Brand owned. The infrastructure has changed under the hood twice — better hosting, better tooling, faster delivery — but none of those changes were visible to a visitor. The hub looks like a hub. It always will.

The character is mature. Hellcat Blondie at 2029 is not a different character than she is now. She is the same character with three more years of evidence behind her. The voice has hardened. The aesthetic has tightened. The references have multiplied. The body of work behind the brand makes the brand feel inevitable.

That's the goal of three years of consistent work. Inevitability.

The Catalog By Then

There is a catalog by 2029 that is impossible to argue with.

A blog archive with hundreds of posts indexed and ranking. A music catalog with finished bodies of work, mastered, archived, owned. A visual library that runs into the thousands of pieces. A merchandise line. A members area with original work that lives only there. A signature visual signature that anyone in the creator economy can spot from across a room.

None of it lives only on a rented platform. All of it has a permanent home in a system I control.

The catalog by then is its own asset class. It earns. It attracts. It opens doors that would never open for a creator with only a follower count.

Catalog is the oldest currency in the creative business. It will still be the most valuable currency in 2029, in 2039, and beyond.

AI By Then

The AI stack I'm building now is a constellation of small models and pipelines that know my voice, my brand, my preferences, my history. By 2029 that constellation is not a side project. It is a co-author. It is part of the studio.

A typical week in 2029 has me directing more than producing. I make taste calls. The AI executes them at speeds I couldn't keep up with alone. I review. I revise. I publish.

This is not a future of less creator work. It is a future of more creator work, made better, with the busywork pushed off the human and the taste decisions concentrated where they belong.

The creators who didn't build this stack now are going to be playing catch-up for years. The ones who did are going to be operating at a tempo that looks impossible from the outside.

The Distribution By Then

The platforms in three years are not the same platforms as today. Some are bigger. Some are smaller. A new one has emerged that doesn't exist yet. One of the current giants has gotten reorganized into something different. Something else has gotten bought.

None of that materially changes my business in 2029. The platforms are spokes. The hub is the website. When a platform changes its rules, I adjust the spoke. When a new platform emerges, I add a spoke. When a platform dies, I retire a spoke. The hub keeps spinning regardless.

That is what platform sovereignty actually looks like in practice. Not refusing to use platforms. Not hiding from them. Using them on terms that don't put the foundation at risk.

The Audience By Then

The audience in three years is smaller in raw count than the people who optimize for raw count, and worth more than they can imagine.

I'm not interested in millions of bystanders. I'm interested in a serious community of people who actually engage with the work, buy what's for sale, share what moves them, and stay for the long term. That community is growing month over month, in a curve that doesn't spike but never dips.

By 2029 the community has its own internal language, its own inside jokes, its own reference points pulled from years of my work. The brand isn't just me by then. It's a culture. The culture has gravity. The culture pulls in new people without me having to chase anyone.

The Other Women Building This Way

The most exciting part of the three-year picture isn't me. It's the other women building exactly like this.

There is a generation of female creators right now who are quietly studying the same playbook. They're buying their domains. They're building their hubs. They're refusing the rented stack. They're learning how to code their own back-end pieces, or at least how to direct a developer to build it for them. They're treating themselves like the businesses they actually are.

By 2029 that generation has receipts. Some of them have built bigger empires than mine. Some of them have built different empires than mine. None of them are renting their existence from a single platform anymore.

That's a cultural shift. That's the actual revolution. Not one creator going sovereign. A wave of them going sovereign at the same time.

What I'm Still Going To Be Doing

Even three years from now, on a random Tuesday, I will still be writing a blog post like this one.

The infrastructure can scale. The AI can do more of the heavy lifting. The team can grow. None of that replaces the part of the job where I sit down at a desk in Vegas, in the small hours, and write the next thing in a voice nobody else has.

That part doesn't scale. It doesn't need to. It just needs to keep happening.

The Specific Bet

The specific bet I'm making is that the creators who own everything will be the major media companies of the next decade.

Not in a metaphor. Literally. The creators who built hubs while everyone else was renting are going to look — in 2029, in 2030, in 2031 — like the studios. The labels. The networks. The publishers. Except they got there with a fraction of the headcount, a fraction of the overhead, and a hundred times the speed, because they built on the infrastructure that didn't exist a decade earlier.

I want to be one of those creators. I am building like I'm going to be one of those creators. Every decision I make about this site, this brand, this catalog, this voice is filtered through that bet.

Three years from now we'll see if the bet was right.

I think it is. The math says it is. The history of every other media revolution says it is.

The only question is which creators have the discipline to build for it instead of for next month's algorithm.

I know which side of that line I'm on.
