I.What it is

The Twin is DAJAI in machine form — a local-first stack (DeepSeek-R1 reasoning on the GPU sidecar, MLX vision/voice surfaces on the Mac Studio) with an uncensored fan-facing chat path. Rate-limited. Injection-proof. No cloud bill on the core loop. It speaks for the artist when the artist isn't at the keyboard.

II.Why it exists

Every dependency on a frontier API is a future tax. The Twin is the bet that an artist's catalog, voice, and decision pattern should live on hardware the artist owns — not behind someone else's rate limit.
